Golf Netting
A professional golf facility needs high quality barrier netting. At Gabba Sporting Products we offer the supply, delivery and installation of purpose-built perimeter and barrier netting to reduce ball loss, risk of injury, and property damage. Gabba Sporting Products offer custom designs to suit your requirements. Timber posts are installed for all systems 20m and under and steel posts installed for all systems over 20m.
The netting we recommend is purpose built and made of a professional grade high density polyethylene. This material does not absorb water, making it ideal for use in permanent, large-scale outdoor installations:
- Resistant to UV degradation (sunlight).
- Excellent strength both in the wet and dry.
- Very low water absorption (less than 1%).
- Very little elongated creep causing ‘drooping’ or ‘bagging’ of the net.
All guy ropes are correctly positioned to maximise strength and rigidity according to engineers and trajectory study specifications. In addition to the supply of the netting, we custom-make all rigging and steelwork in-house, and offer full delivery and installation. Golf Ball Trajectory
In order for safety netting to be adequately effective golf ball trajectory must also be considered. Trajectory is determined by a number of external factors, including the type of iron, force, altitude and weather conditions. Clubface direction and swing path can similarly affect results. The average trajectory height can range anywhere between 26 and 32 metres. It is important to consider trajectory when installing barrier netting so that your patrons and facilities are satisfactorily protected.

Driving Ranges and Practice Facilities
In the case of practice facilities, we recommend the use of golf impact netting. This knotless UV treated netting has high ply and a thicker twine diameter than barrier netting, making it suitable to withstand direct impact from high speed driving shots.

Surfacing
When it comes to the surfacing of driving bays and practice facilities, Gabba Sporting Products offers two options of professional grade synthetic turf.
TEST synthetic turf is a Polyethylene turf with a pile height of 10mm, tuft length of 24mm, and a stitch rate of 300s/m. This synthetic turf is UV stabilised with industry-leading technology and made from good quality raw materials.
